Tragic Incident in Bonneuil-sur-Marne Warehouse

An employee, aged 51, tragically lost his life on Wednesday in a warehouse of the Bamesa France company, situated in the industrial zone of the port of Bonneuil-sur-Marne. The accident occurred around 6:30 a.m. when a one-ton steel coil, which he was maneuvering, became detached and crushed him. Despite efforts from colleagues and emergency services, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The steel coil that caused the fatality was one of four contained by a machine. It unexpectedly came loose and fell from a height of 3 meters, directly hitting the employee. The initial investigation suggests that an iron bar meant to secure the coils had come loose, leading to the fatal incident.

In a related but separate incident in Lograto, a 47-year-old Italian worker died in a steel company after being overwhelmed by a metal plate. The accident occurred while the worker was operating an overhead crane, and the slab detached and fell on him.
